Cynthia has been a classically-trained dancer since the age of 7. She was hand-picked by Robert Joffrey to dance professionally with The Joffrey Ballet and was featured in the company for 15 years.

In 2011, Cynthia discovered her second love affair with dance through Argentine Tango. Eager to choreograph and put tango/storytelling on stage, she jumped in and created Intimo Tango, a performing arts organization located in the Rino Arts district of Denver Colorado. Intimo Tango is devoted to bringing Argentine Tango to audiences through music, art, narrative and dance performance.

Cynthia choreographs her own duets in tango for her shows. In 2017, she and her partner won the Official US Tango Stage championship and represented the US in Buenos Aires that same year in the Mundial de Tango (Tango World Cup).
